The oil mill shop is open every morning from Monday to Saturday, from 9 to 12.30. Luca Palombaro extra virgin olive oil is available in 250, 500 and 750 ml bottles as well as in 3 and 5 liter cans.

Choose the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Road DOP Umbria and you will see the true beauty, touch the treasures of a distant past, hear forgotten sounds and noises, taste traditional foods and drinks, and taste the different seasonal fragrances that characterize the landscape with enchanting chromatic notes, from the silver of the olive trees, to the autumn tones of the vines, from the blue of the sky, to the green of the oil and the countryside, from the crystalline white of the waters, to the golden white or the red, as sunset.

Oil mill open day

Every weekend of November, the Frantoio Palombaro offers a precious and relaxing experience for those who love the beauty of the simple things of the past. In the warmth of the rooms of the recently renovated ancient farmhouse or in the sun of the panoramic terrace, guests can taste the new oil with fragrant bread and good wine, enjoying the enchanting view of Lake Trasimeno and listening to the stories about the olive milling of a time.
The Frantoio Luca Palombaro is, in fact, a small jewel protected by the flow of time: at the entrance of Monte del Lago, overlooking the lake and surrounded by its olive groves, it preserves among the ancient walls the stone millstones, the traditional presses, the ‘Orciaia with the jars of the 1800s and many stories 100 years long.
The centenary olive groves, owned by the family since 1927, adorn the hills surrounding the lake and enjoy the microclimate and the rich and uncontaminated land. Frantoio, Moraiolo, Leccino and Dolce Agogia are the varieties that have always been grown in this area. Today Luca Palombaro makes two types of oil: Roncone, a blend with an intense fruity flavor and Belfiore, a monocultivar of Dolce Agogia, with a delicate flavor.
Frantoi Aperti is our opportunity to tell you about the characteristics of these varieties, which are the best gastronomic combinations and how the Trasimeno terroir still has much to tell in the Umbrian olive landscape.

Frantoi Aperti, the largest event in the sector, is organized and promoted by the Association of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Road DOP Umbria, with the direct involvement of the mills, which open the doors to those who are passionate about the olive world in every aspect or just curious and want to discover the secrets that are hidden in the art of making extra virgin olive oil of superior quality.
